More police for Sussex

police.jpgIncreased funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner, means Sussex Police have launched a recruitment drive. They are looking for people to join them on the front-line as a Police Officer.

Being a Police Officer is a diverse role –  tackling crime, taking knives off the streets, engaging, educating young people and being the person everyone looks towards for help.
Officers are dedicated to keeping communities safe and feeling safe, identifying and protecting vulnerable people, preventing and responding to harm.

For the first time individuals can join as an officer through one of two new entry routes, launching in Sussex in December. The police constable degree apprenticeship offers three-year apprenticeship programme where individuals will study towards a degree in professional policing practice. The Degree Holder Entry Programme is aimed at existing degree holders of any subject area and launches in early 2020.
