Essential planned building works set to last around 9 weeks are underway at Hollingdean Depot.
During the work the depot’s main entrance will function as an exit only and vehicles will have to access the site via Hollingdean Lane (accessing the lane from Upper Hollingdean Rd only). There will be traffic marshals in the lane and on site for the duration of the work.
The works are to improve site security, completing urgent repairs and relocating fuel tanks.
The work is not expected to not cause significant inconvenience to residents. On site staff parking is reduced by up to 10 spaces for the 9 week period. This means there could be some disruption to nearby on-street parking, but only during the work. Staff have been encouraged to find alternative ways to get to work and leave cars at home wherever possible. Residents of Hollingdean Lane and the near vicinity are being contacted by letter to be informed of the work.
