Some good news to brighten the winter gloom!
As part of its new Green Deal Pioneer Places scheme, Brighton & Hove City Council is offering each of 10 lucky households up to £10,000-worth of home-energy improvements installed in their homes — absolutely free!
This could include measures such as new boilers, wall and loft insulation, secondary glazing and draught-proofing, helping you waste less energy and reduce your energy bills.
The council, working with Brighton and Hove 10:10, The Green Building Partnership and Low Carbon Trust, is also offering 100 households a free, no obligation Green Deal home-energy assessment — worth up to £150 — that will identify improvements that could reduce energy use in your home.
To be in with a chance of being selected for the home-energy improvements, you must book an assessment by 11 February 2013.
Visit the council’s website at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/greendeal to find out more and fill in the application form. Please note: you must be a Brighton & Hove resident to take part.
