Education and inequality – free FUB course

A free 4-week course examining the role of education and schooling in social inequality is running in Hollingdean over four Saturdays from January 26th.

The course, run by Free University Brighton is at the Council’s Learning Resource Centre at the City Clean Depot, Upper Hollingdean Road, Brighton BN1 7GA (entrance opposite the Hollingbury Pub). It will explore the role of education and schooling in social inequality and introduce learners to critical sociological perspectives to support exploration and questioning of the processes The course will enable analysis of how education contexts might both perpetuate and/or challenge social inequalities. Different theoretical perspectives will be integrated in a critical analysis of an education context or issue.
